The Quad State Tornado is remarked as the most deadliest weather event in history. The event was also known for spawning tornadoes in 4 different states. The final tornado spawned died around 3:27 AM, but there was believed to be another rain-wrapped tornado that lasted from 2:02 AM until 3:55 when it died out.
10,700 people were estimated to be killed, and 1,400,200 people were estimated to be injured. This killed 8% of the U.S. population. Millions of dollars were lost due to The Quad State Tornado. Many homes (estimated to be 40,000) were destroyed. Thankfully, these tornadoes formed in mostly rural areas.
