""These humans interest me, they are so prone to falling into a state of mental sickness and taking their own lives. They all believe in ending it now, yet only a few consider the wonderful blessings in the life they'll have if they decide not to" ― Diadem Red in Falling Pieces

Diadem Red is one of the Seven Diadems. He is one of the only male diadems and is born from the Psi Line.

He had decided to neglect his Judiciary duties in The Cthon in favor of wandering the planet of Earth, in the plane of the same name. He has been exploring the Earth ever since the Amphicyon roamed prehistoric China.

He has multiple alternate names/aliases, such as Mr. Red, He who Abandons, The Crazy Philosopher in the Caves and The Blood Red Serpent.

He would mate with his colleague, Diadem Yellow, to become the father of the Orange Coronet.

History[]

Diadem Red is one of the Seven Diadems, like the rest of the diadems, he was created by The Worldmaster through the use of The Attachment Token.

Falling Pieces[]

Diadem Red is only mentioned in any other works, but appears "in the flesh" in the Holy Piercer spin-off book Falling Pieces. In the book, 16 year old Chinese student Tan An is under heavy depression with an ineffective therapist and incredibly conservative tiger parents would lead her to considering suicide. One day she would decide to do so, hiding in a place under a nearby bridge. She would attempt to drown herself, but would be saved by Diadem Red.

Diadem Red would use his powers to coerce her into telling him her problems. Over the course of a week (and the rest of the entire book) they would discuss, Diadem Red sharing his wisdom and slowly convincing An that she has more to live for. By the end of the book she returns home, ready to face whatever will happen, be it consequences or blessings.

The Orange Coronet would then appear right next to his father, asking him why he didn't just use his vast power to control her and fix into her mind the values and virtues he would teach her, Diadem Red would reply by saying it is "the human way" and that such a way is beautiful.
