Chrono is an antagonist of The fourth movie of The Adventure of Cheesecake Series, "Timeline Clash". Chrono is a very vicious Pet that opts to dominate the 499 other timelines and consume it so that Chrono may absorb the eldritch god Azathoth into its person and become the very universe it desires.

Biography[]

TAoC: Timeline Clash[]

Chrono's egg was locked within a meteor, the same meteor which killed the dinosaurs. Chrono would hatch upon impact, and it was said that it created a chronokinetic ripple so strong it allowed the dinosaurs from other timelines to suffer the same fate. Chrono would speedily mature, not locked by time, it would remain stuck in an endless loop of growing old and then becoming young once more, over and over and over again.

It was not until the Cenozoic (unspecified period) did Chrono begin to finally lock itself into a specific age and form, and when it did, it began to dominate the landscape. Travelling across the oceans with ease it casually circumnavigated the globe and became the terror of all creatures, especially ancient humans. Chrono had eventually developed to the point where he no longer need to kill in order to survive, so now he decided to kill for sport. Soon Chrono would manage to travel across time, and this was where things would all begin.

Chrono would travel across various points in history and wreak havoc, leading many to fear it, and make legends of it. Chrono would eventually develop speech and thought, and use its newfound intellectual abilities to spread further dread. Soon Chrono gained sight of alternate timelines, all of which lead to an entity beyond most imagining, Chrono would feel itself become one with the time streams, and hatch a sinister plan to become the very universe.

Chrono would conquer his Earth, destroy all those that dared face him, and even awaken Cthulhu, only to double-cross the god and send him flying out of the time streams, destroying him completely. Chrono would gain further power and soon begin to the chrono-convergence, or the timeline clash.

The merged timelines were bewildered, and wars broke out amongst its panic. Chrono proceeded to rage across the merged Earth and enslave all that crossed its path to its will. Chrono would face the Keepers of the other timelines and face off against it, one of them being Nao, accompanied by Cheesecake. Chrono would use its time powers to rapidly age them all with its devastating time beam, but the effects would be reversed by a "time-flare" produced by a man who would introduce himself as Professor Donatello, who has studied Chrono's workings tenaciously and attempts to become the Keeper of Timeline 100.

Chrono would combat Nao and Prof. Donatello from that point onward, not realizing in the end it was all stalling for time, as eventually Chrono would end up facing a being named OmniCull. Their devastating battle would bring them to the end of time, where Chrono would be destroyed alongside the universe and Azathoth with the use of Big Bang 2.0

The Adventures of Cheesecake[]

Chrono would appear as a new pet of Nao's after the fourth movie, this version of Chrono is more docile and far less sadistic, is less savage and most likely has a different background altogether.

During an attack from evil robots from the future (actually an alternate timeline), Chrono would be fed ember candies and undergo Ember-Growth, and with its boosted time-based powers it would seal off the robots from the timeline. Much like its debut counterpart, this version of Chrono is a self-sustaining battery of time-power, and can be used as a power source for various time-based machines such as the timeline-hopper or chrono-traveler.

Powers[]

Timeline Clash[]

In the original reality (the converged/original timeline), Chrono was a being from Timeline 100 and was a being that held an incredible power regarding the time-power which ran throughout the course of all 500 timelines in their entirety.

  • Chronokinesis: As a Pet completely based around the concept of time, Chrono is completely capable of manipulating the very concept of time.
    • Time-Power Battery: The mystical energy known as "time-power" is required for various chronokinetic abilities and activities. Chrono is a self-sustaining and constantly charging battery of Time-Power. At the height of its power, Chrono is more akin to a Time-Power generator rather than a battery.
    • Time Travel: Chrono can travel back and forward in time, often doing it to undo futures which doom it. All without the use of a machine.
    • Timeline Transportation: Chrono is capable of moving through the timelines without the use of a machine.
    • Clairvoyance: Chrono is capable of seeing various pasts and futures.
    • Time Deceleration, Acceleration, Reversion and Stoppage: Chrono can slow down, speed up, reverse and stop time at will, allowing it to essentially defeat any opponent without any sort of resistance to his abilities. Chrono can also naturally apply it to itself, repairing wounds and allowing it to remain in its physical prime for a potentially indefinite amount of time.
    • Time Beams: Pure concentrated beams of time-power, weaponized to become powerful weapons. Time Beams are known to rapidly speed up the aging/degeneration process of any material it touches, leaving nothing of it behind. It even works on biotic targets, aging them until they wither and die. Time Beams are also shown to be capable of reversing time, with its rays actually managing to return things to a former state in time.
  • Bestial Physiology: Chrono is significantly stronger, faster, more durable, more resistant, more dexterous, more intelligent etc. than other Pets.
  • Sonic Bark
  • Physical Adaptations: Chrono does not need air, food, water or rest to survive.
  • Godhood: After using its great machine to undergo the timeline clash, Chrono had achieved a level of godhood, becoming a god of time. With this power, Chrono is a virtually nigh-omnipotent entity.
    • Time Summons: Chrono can summon past and future versions of itself to aid it in battle.
    • Invulnerability: Chrono is invulnerable to almost all forms of attack.
    • Abstract Absorption: Chrono constantly expands, and is capable of absorbing, fusing and ultimately destroying other beings. Chrono in its godly form intended to do this to Azathoth so that it itself could become the new master of the universe.

Mini-Chrono[]

In the new reality, a version of Chrono is born, this reincarnation appears to be weaker, more docile, less sadistic and less powerful. Although it's possible that "Mini-Chrono" is still only heading there.

  • Chronokinesis: Much like its original version, this Chrono can control time, although due to it being much weaker, it is to a significantly lesser extent.
    • Time-Power Battery
    • Deceleration of Time: Chrono can slightly slow down time for a couple unaccelerated minutes.
      • Reversal of Time: However, in certain cases Mini-Chrono gets temporarily overcharged with time-power, and thus it can even create a reversing process. This was seen when he turned Grandpa Yue back into an eight year old boy.
      • Acceleration of Time: Naturally, with a properly placed temporary overcharge, acceleration is also possible.
    • Time Bubbles: A bubble that can allow whatever is inside to not be affected by time, also doubles as an effective defensive barrier.

Limitations and Weaknesses[]

  • Chrono's signature time-bending abilities do not affect specific entities not affected by time-based abilities, be it under certain aspects, conventions or chronokinesis in its entirety. As a result, these beings can
    • retain their memories from an erased future
    • can be displaced into a past if their existence is erased before they actually even physically come into existence
    • can undo the time change under various means
    • can be immune to time beams
    • can become invisible to Chrono's clairvoyant view
    • can be completely unaffected by the deceleration, acceleration and stoppage of time
  • Chrono for the most part is a time-power battery, and while self-sustaining technically outputs more than it can input with each use of its ability.
